Callachuchi Homestay is an off-grid, solar powered facility. Therefore we do not experience the power and internet outages that plague most of Siquijor Island at this time. However, it also means that we budget power needs to fit our solar system. Our family compound has no hot shower water heaters. We set the air conditioners to a temperature of 27 degrees Centigrade or above if requested. Our bungalows are also equipped with fans. If you need lower room temperatures on a regular basis for your comfort, we advise you to seek lodging that does not have our power restrictions.

Check in is after 2:00 p.m. and check out is before 12 Noon. There is no smoking in the rooms or on the homestay grounds, but smoking is okay on the roof top deck. We request quiet time after 9 p.m. due to our sleeping children :) We will provide you with a key so that you can enter and leave the homestay grounds at any time during your stay.

Our location

We are located in Barangay Tag-ibo a few kilometers outside the town of San Juan. From the Siquijor Circumferential Road there is a path 150 meters long to our homestay. Walking and motor scooters only please. We have a parking area adjacent to the highway for three and four wheel vehicles.. Parking is available for motorbikes at the homestay. We will provide you with more specific directions when you make a reservation.
